 2016        

  MiVida Burrus   BBA '13, MBA '16, is a contributing author to the book "The Professional Black Women: Career, Relationships, Self-Esteem." Burrus wrote the chapter titled "Navigating the System," which focuses on self-improvement and the corporate culture. 

  Nicholas Ferguson   BAC '16, was selected as the student speaker for the winter 2017 Walsh College Commencement ceremony. 
  Derrick Friend   MAC '16, Joined Yeo & Yeo, a Saginaw-based CPA and business consulting firm, as an accountant. Friend will work out of the Auburn Hills office, providing tax planning and preparation with a focus on small businesses, high-worth individuals and professional athletes. 

  Brenda Meller   MBA/MSMKT '16, has earned a Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Professional Award for 2017. 
  Andrew Nalian   MBA '16, authored the book "50 Deed for Those in Need." The book describes 50 ways to help others. 
 2015        

  Julie Battani   Julie Battani, BBA '15, has been named student life coordinator for Walsh College. She served as the VP of communications for the Walsh College American Marketing Association Student Organization until 2015. 

  Michael Cetnar   BBA '15, has joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the global product portfolio management division as a data analytics support analyst. 

  Adele Saba   MM '15, was named one of Crain's Detroit Business 2016 "40 Under 40" honorees. 
 2014        

  Kimberly Busby   BBA '14, was named global lead demand planner for Delphi. 

  Leslie Alore   BBA '08, MBA '14, was named director, Global marketing Operations and Automation, at Iron Mountain. 
 2012        
    Denise Asker   IOM, MM '12, has joined Clayton & McKervey, P.C., one of southeast Michigan's 15 largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms. Asker joins the firm's management team, and will lead its marketing, business development and public relations initiatives. In 2015, she earned the Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she serves on the board of the Women's Alliance of Oakland County. Denise has also recently joined the executive committee for the College's Spring Soiree. 

  Danielle Crane   MBA '12, was recently recognized by the American Society of Employers as the Michigan HR Executive of the Year for 2016. She is the chief talent officer at GreenPath Financial Wellness. Crane was recently recognized by the American Society of Employers as the Michigan HR Executive of the Year for 2016. 

  William Ferguson   BBA '01, MBA '12, has been named to the Walsh College Alumni Association Board of Directors. Ferguson currently work for IBM in the corporate finance department. 

   Mari  Pionk   MM '12 has been named alumni and donor relations officer for Wayne State University's College of Engineering. 
     Edgar    Van III    MM '12, Director, government relations, Wayne County Community College District, was named once of Crain's Detroit Business "40 Under 40" in 2015. Vann helped to put in place a system that targets students at risk of dropping out and enables early intervention and assistance, increasing student success and retention rates. He is working to secure more funds to build the college's workforce development programs and skilled-trades training. 
 2011        

  Jason Krug   BBA'11, MBA-MSF '12, will now lead the Senior Housing & Healthcare Group at Berkadia in the Detroit office. Krug has been at Berkadia since 2013. He started in investment sales in 2007.
 2010        
    Christopher King   BBA '10, and MS '12, joins Siegfried Group, LLP, as a senior associate in the Detroit market. King comes from Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he gained experience in the insurance industry. 

  Mark Kruczek   MST '10, was promoted to shareholder for Doeren Mayhew.

  Anthony Majewski   MBA '10, was named one of Crain's Detroit Business "40 Under 40" in 2015. Majewski created a line of books to help children overcome social and emotional issues. He plans to launch an animated series and develop a foundation to help autistic children with learning and reading. 

  Tara Miceli   MSF '10, was named regional director of operations for Carrington College, DeVry Group Inc. She is responsible for the overall operations of four campus location in California and Nevada. 

  Chris Spaude    MBA '10, was promoted to director of financial planning and analysis at Amerisure. He assumes responsibility for treasury and accounts payable, which includes forecasting, budgeting, and annual financial planning. He joined Amerisure in 2003. 
 2009                             

  Crystal Arcicovich   BBA '09, was named director of sales for the United Shore Baseball League. The league launched this past spring with three teams that played at Jimmy John's Field in Utica, Michigan.

  Michelle Kotas   MBA '09, was named one of Crain's Detroit Business "40 Under 40" in 2015. Kotas led the time-sensitive refinancing of $28 million in bond debt, achieving better terms that led to $200,000 to $250,000 in annual savings. Her current goal is to strengthen the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit's financial sustainability thought program strength.

  Greg Schulte   MAC '09, has been appointed to the German American Chamber of Commerce of Midwest Michigan Chapter Board for Clayton & McKervey, a full service CPA firm. 
 2008        
    Daniel Jenuwine   CFRE, MSF '08 was selected to serve on the 2016 Giving USA Editorial Review Board. 

  Kenneth McClure   MSM '08, was named the HR manager of Kroger of Michigan in May of 2016. He oversees HR for 19,000 employees, and leads Kroger's public, community, and government affairs efforts. 

  Vickie Wolber   BBA '08, is the director of emergency management and communications for Macomb County. She oversees COMTEC, the county's 25,00-square foot, state-of-the-art facility providing 24/7 situational awareness for county residents, businesses, and first responders.
 2007        

  Jane Harper   MSIA '07, was inducted into the Michigan Chronicle's Women of Excellence Class of 2017. The award celebrates local African American women who inspire others through vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service. 

  Cheryl Johnson   BBA '03, MSF '07, was inducted into the Michigan Chronicle's Women of Excellence Class of 2017. The award celebrates local African American women who inspire others through vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service. 

  Byron Laurence   MBA '07, has been named director of sales and marketing for the MPS Group, which provides environmental industrial and facility services for all waste products. 
 2005        

  Scott Keusch   BBA '01, MSF '05, joined Troy-based Crestmark Bank as vice president, senior account executive for the East Division. 

  Chris Mandelaris   MSBIT '05, joined Talmer Bank and Trust. He was most recently with Bank of America as Vice President and Senior Audit Supervisor, where he was responsible for assisting risk and business partners with balancing their business strategy with the appropriate risk management controls. Mandelaris started his career with Ford Motor Credit, where he was a Systems Analyst and Project Manager. He is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). 

  Elizabeth Smith   BBA '99, MSBIT '05, was named a circuit executive of the Ninth Circuit for the United States Court of Appeals. She will serve as the secretary of the Judicial Council of the Ninth Circuit, the governing body for federal courts in the western states and Pacific islands.

  Shaniece Bennett   MBA '04, was inducted into the Michigan Chronicle's Women of Excellence Class of 2017. The award celebrates local African American women who inspire others through vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service. 

  Barry Boozan   MSF '04, joined Clarkston State Bank in Waterford as the bank's Small Business Administration lending specialist. He is base in the Waterford branch adn has 10 years of experience in small-business leading. Prior to joining Clarkston, Boozan worked for Bank of Michigan, where he was senior vice president of SBA lending. 
    Lisa Howze    MSF '04, was named a new board member for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Howze is the chief of staff to Detroit Mayor Michael Huggan and is responsible for governmental affairs at both the state and federal levels. Prior to her appointment as chief of staff, Howze served as co-chair of the Duggan Transition team. In this role, she was responsible for leading the finance and business operation efforts, where she and the team engaged the support of several metro Detroit area executives and more than 100 volunteers. Howze is a life-long Detroiter and a CPA with a diverse background in auditing, municipal accounting, and corporate finance. The former Michigan State Representative ran for Mayor of the City of Detroit in 2013 and placed fourth in the primary. 

  Robert Muszynski   MSF '05, has been named the Orlando Regional REALTOR Association's vice president of finance. He will administer the financial and cash management affairs of the 12,500 member association. 

  Tina Marie Wohlfield   MBA '04, was named a Most Valued Professional (MVP) by Corp! Magazine in 2016. Wohlfield is a compliance/human resources consultant at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. 
 2003        

  Lorraine Goodrich   MSF '03, joined the board of directors of Michigan Society of Association Executives as the treasurer. 

  Paula Nelson   BBA '03, was named one of Crain's Detroit Business "40 Under 40" in 2015. Recently, she expanded the non-profit Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center's services, particularly those related to housing. She plans to make Sacred Heart a leader in addiction recovery and behavioral health services, including expanding services and supportive housing across the state.

  John Trendell II   BBA '02, was promoted to senior vice president, underwriting manager, for Crestmark's East Divison.

  Douglas Laird   BBA '91, MSA '01, was promoted to shareholder for Doeren Mayhew. 

  Lauren Wentzel   BBA '01, received an Administrative Excellence award at UHY. 
 1999        
    Garrett Keais   MSF '99, is now senior managing director of Cushman, where he will be responsible for expanding leasing services. Keais joined Signature in 2003 and has been a leader in the Signature office, winning awards for top office salesperson in 2010 and 2015, and top salesperson in 2011, 2012 and 2013. 

  Jeff Phillips   MSF '99, has been named managing director of Rehmann Financial Group. 
    Michelle Sherman   MSF '99, was named chief financial officer of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. Prior to joining Gleaners, she worked for Barden Cos. as the chief financial officer and acting CEO. She is a CPA. She is also on the advisory board of directors for multicultural business programs at Michigan State University.

  Jeff Pritchett   BBA '98, has been named executive vice president and CFO of Innerworkings, a global marketing execution firm serving Fortune 500 brands across a wide range of industries.

    Dennis Harder   BBA '91, BSF '97, was named vice-chair of the Walsh College Foundation Board of Directors. He is managing director of The Private bank, Birmingham, Mich. He also serves as co-chair of the college's leadership awards special events committee. 

  Pam May   BAC '94, MST '97, has been appointed as a managing director for UHY.

  MSI '97, retired from the Detroit Free Press as of December 2015 after 34 years of great journalism. Walsh was recently named to the Walsh College Board of Trustees.

  MST '96, the president of Clayton & McKervey, a full-service CPA firm, has been appointed to the St. Vincent De Paul Foundation Board. 

  Troy Meyers   MSA '96, was promoted to first vice president, assistant field examination manager, at Crestmark. This role includes training and mentoring new staff. 

  Amy L. Smith   BBA- Finance '96, The November 21 – 25, 2016 Investment News Publication was named the Women’s Issue.  It included a special feature called “The 20 most influential women to watch in 2016”.  Amy, a Walsh 1996 Graduate, and current President of Smith & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. located in Novi, MI, was chosen as an honoree by the Investment News selection committee and will receive her award and recognition at a special luncheon at the Pierre Hotel in NYC in March 2017.

  Lynn Valade   MSF '96, joined Rehmann, a financial services firm, as director of client services and business development for the firm's Ann Arbor and Toledo offices.

  Kevin Washington   MSA '96, was name chief financial officer for Impact NW in Portland, Oregon. As CFO, he will manage the nonprofit's recent growth and financial operations. 

  Jacqueline Wiggins   MSF '96, has taken on the role of chief of staff at US Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, a full service accounting and advisory firm that offers industry specialized services in audit, tax, and management consulting. Wiggins is responsible for diving execution of key strategic priorities set by the firm's executives.

  Carol Kirkland   MSM '95, has earned a Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Professional Award for 2017. 
  Laura Soave    BBA '95, was named to the Walsh College Foundation Board in March 2016. Soave has been with Federal-Mogul since 2014 with responsibilities for global brand management and marketing and communications. She previously served as vice president and CEO, FIAT Brand - North American, at Chrysler Group LLCl general manager, Marketing, Volkswagen of America; brand manager, Ford Motor Company, and Mercury marketing manager, Lincoln Mercury.

  Robert W. Bowles   BAC '94, has been appointed president of the Michigan Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association, Bowles is the executive director of Bluewater Transaction Advisors LLC. 

  Jacqueline Buchannan   BAC '94,, has earned a Corp! Magazine Most Valuable Professional Award for 2017. 
    Daniel A. Cornwell   BS '94, was named to the Walsh College Foundation Board. Cornwell is chief executive officer, Cambridge Consulting Group, one of the largest privately-held insurance and financial service consulting firms in Michigan, where he is responsible for identifying and executing growth strategies, business development, and corporate governance. Cornwell has served on the Walsh College Alumni Association Planned Giving Board. 

  Patrick Killeen   BAC '94, Patrick Killeen, CPA, has been named Michigan office managing partner for nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly). Killeen joined the firm in 2004 and has served in a number of progressive leadership roles including Michigan manufacturing and distribution practice leader. His vast experience serving both manufacturing companies and those with international needs make him exceptionally qualified to lead the office as it works to serve the evolving Michigan market. In addition to his managing partner responsibilities, Killeen will continue his role as the firm’s Michigan manufacturing and distribution practice leader, providing direction for local manufacturing and distribution services and serving clients.

  Karen Cresap   BBA '93, has been named to the Walsh College Alumni Association board of directors. Cresap works as a realtor for Howard Hanna. 

  Jeff Farrington   BBA '88, MSM '93, has joined Gordon Advisors, P.C. of Troy as chief operations officer.

  Michael Notte    BBA '92, was running for state representative in 30th District at press time. The 30th District includes parts of Sterling Heights and Shelby Township, and all of Utica.
 1991        

  Thomas Callan    BAC '91, was designated to serve on the UHY Advisors national board of directors. He is a member of UHY Advisors' national executive committee and the leader of the Farmington Hills, Mich., office. He also heads the firm's national construction practice.  His expertise includes providing guidance on tax compliance issues, state and local tax planning, business valuations, and litigation support. Callan was the former president of Gilda's Club Metro Detroit, a nonprofit that provides support to individuals living with cancer and their families. He also aided in the formation of UHY Cares, the firm's independent 501c3 nonprofit organization, that he also serves as president. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Michigan and Georgia. He has been with the firm and its predecessors since 1992.  

  Libby Lamm   BAC '91, was named Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for DEQ Systems Corp. The company is headquartered in Last Vegas, Nevada.

  Stephen Johnson   BAC '90, was recently named a partner at Metzler, Locricchio, Serra & Company, PC, located in Troy. Johnson's expertise includes individual, estate and business tax planning.

  Amy Robinson   BAC '90, has assumed oversight of the Kresge Foundation's grant operations and data information management operations, taking on an additional role as chief administrative officer in addition to her role as CFO.

  Margaret Amdsen   MST '89, has been named to the Clayton & McKervey board of Association for Corporate Growth, Detroit. She will serve as the treasurer. Clayton & McKervey is a full-service CPA firm.

  Greg Gursky   MST '88, was appointed Deputy State Treasurer for Tax Policy on January 20, 2016, overseeing Legislative Affairs, the Bureau of Tax Policy, and the Taxpayer Advocate. Previously, he was a director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' State and Local Tax Group, where he was responsible for the management and oversight of all indirect state and local tax issues for the Greater Michigan Market. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Gursky spent more than 30 years with General Motors Corporation, concluding his tenure as the automaker's Director of Property and Non-Income Taxes. 

  Linda Thompson   BAC '88, was named associate regional director of operations in Region V at National Credit Union Administration. Thompson had served as the Region V director of special actions.

  Dennis Rice   BBA '85, has been promoted to president of Health Management Systems of America. He previously served as vice president.

  William Furr   BBA '77, received the prestigious E J Shaheen Teaching Excellence Faculty Award. Furr teaches business classes at Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville, Michigan.
